Last week, on July 4th I helped my friend Kyle to convert his swamp cooler. Similar story, he wanted to control it via Nest thermostat. So far I’ve sold a dozen or so boards. Assembling PCBs

At this point I manually assemble PCBs. Just during this beta stage.

It is important to keep customer feedback loop so we can refine the design. Once the design is proven and we are ready to move on to the production, the assembly process will be done by the machines.

So far we have handful of people that successfully installed our product!

The G wire is not so G!

The G signal controls the fan. Your thermostat is capable of running the fan on its own without heating and cooling applied for the circulation. As long as you have this signal present and connected to the thermostat of course!

Traditionally the G signal is considered a cooling side signal. You might already see some problems here…
